Rosanna Rizzardo

Rosanna Rizzardo, 89, of Cadogan, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.  She was born March 18, 1928, to the late Adam and Josephine (Bentley) Smith and was a resident of Cadogan, all her life.  Rosanna loved her family and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and playing lottery scratch offs. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Rosanna was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Cadogan, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Rizzardo, Sr., who passed away July 4, 1991.  Rosanna is survived by her sons, John Rizzardo and wife, Sandy, of Tipton, Pa. and Angelo Rizzardo, Jr. and wife, Sheila, of Ford City, Pa.; daughters, Lisa Schall of Kittanning and Nanci Rizzardo of Cadogan; grandchildren, Noelle Rizzardo, Brienne (Aaron) Sheasley, Andrew (Julia) Rizzardo, Tessa Schall, Troy Schall, and Terra Schall. Also surviving are her three sisters, Josephine Fennell, Delores Daquilante, and Nancy (Larry) Eck.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alan Grote officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis DePaul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Progressive Workshop in Kittanning, in Rosanna’s memory.
