Roy Edward French, 78, of Adrian passed away, Sunday, October 29, 2023 at home. He was born April 11, 1945 in Adrian to the late Harry and Edith (Johns) French.
Roy retired after 38 years as a inspector at Eljer Plumbing ware. He was a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church in Adrian and Masons Lodge #244.
He was a life member of the East Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department where he was the chief for 8 years and assistant fire chief for 4 years.
Roy is survived by his wife Rose (Earley) Brosius; daughter Misty Hollobaugh of Adrian; son Christopher Adams of Shippenville; son Barry (Tina) Adams of Espyville; son Charles Adams of Adrian; daughter Amy (Brandon) Hartzell of Ford City; granddaughter Sommer Adams of Greenville; granddaughter Zoe Hollobaugh of Kittanning; grandson Cortland Adams of Marysville; granddaughter Serenity Adams of Adrian; 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter Brandon Lee, LeLand , Hailey, and Lucas Hartzell all of Ford City; brother Robert (Dianne) French of Kittanning.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Edith French; grandson Gregory Hartzell; brother Andy French; sisters Carol E. French and Gloria Jean Crissman; brother in law Allen Crissman.
Friends will be received on Saturday November 4, 2023 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from Noon until the time of a service at 4:00 P.M. with George Hooks officiating.
