Ruby Anna (Cessna) Johnson

Ruby Anna (Cessna) Johnson, 88, of Kittanning, passed away peacefully Tuesday February 25, 2025 at Butler Memorial Hospital. She was born August 3, 1936 in Rural Valley to the late John and Goldie Cessna and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Ruby was a Registered Nurse and had a long career at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Kittanning and a member of the Eastern Star's. Ruby was also in card club and was a former Cub Scout's den mother, she was very involved with her children's lives. She also enjoyed bowling and having special lunches with her friends.

Ruby is survived by her son Jim (Donna) Johnson of Spring, Texas; son Darren (Dracy) Johnson of Shelby, North Carolina; daughter Lisa (Troy) Angert of Karns City, Pennsylvania; granddaughter Sara (Ben) Cozad of Spring, Texas; grandson Noah (Salem) Johnson of Spring, Texas; granddaughter Rebecca (Clint) Sellers of Benton, Arkansas; granddaughter Katie (Mark) Biga of Fort Mill, South Carolina; granddaughter Andrea (Brian) Murray of Ambridge, Pennsylvania; granddaughter Tara (Eric) Kneisel of Burke, Virginia; granddaughter Amber Angert of Butler; granddaughter, Arica Angert of Butler; great-grandson, Collin Biga; great-grandson, Winston Cozad; great granddaughter, Charlotte Biga; great-granddaughter, Penelope Johnson; great-granddaughter, Wrenleigh Thurlkill; great-grandson, Aiden Kneisel; great-grandson, Truman Cozad; great-grandson, Graham Johnson; great-grandson, Connor Murray; brothers, Kenneth (Merlene) Cessna of Rural Valley and Robert (Jessica) Cessna, of Texas; and good friend, Linda Hutchinson, who was always there for Ruby and the family. 

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and husband A. James "Jim" Johnson Jr.

Friends will be received on Sunday March 2, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Monday March 3, 2025 in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor David Janz officiating. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment is in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington. In lieu of lowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
