RUSSELL DWIGHT LASH, JR. "Ike", 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Warren, Ohio. He was born on December 25, 1952, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Russell retired from General Motors in 2000. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida. He loved fishing, hunting and golf. His hobbies were woodworking, gardening and taking claim to Debbie’s lawn statues. Son of the late Russell Dwight "Sonny" and Gladys nee Crawford. He was married to his High School Sweetheart, Debbie nee Egley; for 52 years. Loving brother of David (Sue) Lash of Adrian, Pennsylvania, Susan (Jeff) of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Cindy (Patrick) of Stuart, Florida, Raymond (Mary) Lash of Kittanning, Pennsylvania and Greg (Yvonne) Lash of Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Loving brother-in-law of Ethel (Larry) Brice of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Terry Dailey of Kittanning, Pennsylvania and Dave (Linda) Egley of Valley Township Pennsylvania. Russell “Uncle Ike” enjoyed his family and especially his 12 nieces and nephews, and 23 great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Sandy Earley.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 PM on Friday, November 8, at Harvest Christian Assembly of God, Warren, Ohio with visitation one hour prior to the service from 5PM until service time at the church and 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean Street Kittanning, Pennsylvania 16201 with visitation from 1PM until service time on Sunday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Union/Davis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warren Family Mission (Hannah House), 155 Todd Avenue NW, Warren, Ohio, 44485.
