Ruth Valeria (Zimmerman) Cogley, 94, of Provo, Utah, formerly of Kittanning, died on Friday, April 2, 2021 in Provo. She was born October 30, 1926 in Kittanning, a daughter of the late Hobert J. and Eva May (Rhodes) Zimmerman and lived in the Kittanning area for most of her life. She formerly worked in the healthcare industry. Ruth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Freeport Ward. She enjoyed quilting (big & small), sending everyone birthday cards, sending letters, gardening, reading, serving others, and studying scripture. Left behind to cherish her memory includes her daughter, Helen (Ray) Householder, of Custer, Ohio; son, Ronald (Donna) Cogley, of Kittanning; daughter, Vernetta (Larry) Bethers, of Provo, Utah; sons, Terry Cogley of North Carolina and Delbert Cogley of Ford City; 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, who passed away in 1986; children, Linda, Robert, and Constance Cogley; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be privately held by the family at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Interment will be in Mateer Cemetery, Templeton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
