Salla Walker Obituary

     Salla Ann (Smith) Walker, 75, of Kittanning, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Amstrong County Memorial Hospital.  She was born April 1, 1946 in Kittanning Hospital to the late Russell L. and Ella Mae Smith and was lifelong resident of the community.  She was retired from Armstrong County Health Center where she was a dietary aide.  Salla enjoyed cross-stitching, watching cowboys, listening to music, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Survivors include her husband, Clarence Walker, of Kittanning; son, Joseph E. Beer Jr. (Joe Sr.), of Shelocta; daughters, Valerie (Jack) McClafferty, of Adrian, Tammy (Gary) Shaffer, of Adrian, and Sandra (Ron) Smith, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Kelly Martin, of McGrann, Kenneth (Rita) Shaffer, of Rural Valley, Tyler (Sandy) McClafferty, of Kittanning, Christina (Derek) Jack, of Adrian, Gary Shaffer Jr., of Tarentum, Kevin Smith Jr., of Kittanning, and Dustin (Sabrina) Smith, of Adrian; brothers, Roy L. (Joan) Smith, of Kittanning and Floyd (Judy) Smith, of Kittanning; sister, Phyllis Atwood, of Kittanning; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; step-daughters, Debbie Branan, of Kittanning and Terri (Mark); step-sons, Clarence (Laurie) Walker, of Kittanning and Gary (Diane) Walker, of Rural Valley; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell L. Smith and Kenneth Smith and Harry (Honey) Smith; sister, Edna (Tootie) Firestone; grandchild, Tabatha Shaffer; twin sister, Sarah Ann Smith; and an infant baby.  Private arrangements are under the care of the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
