Samuel David Monsour, 76, of Adrian, died on Sunday January 29, 2023 in his residence with his family by his side.
He was born on November 27, 1946 in Butler, PA to the late Nasray Monsour & Mary Depe and was the step son of Andy Wyant.
Sam held numerous jobs throughout his lifetime. He was a laborer at Pullman Standard, construction worker, had a CDL license, a small appliance business and was an ordained minister and Christian Counselor.
He was a deacon of Brush Valley Brethren Church and he also attended the Furnace Run Chapel.
Sam loved spending time with his family and friends, camping, gardening with his grandson & great grandson, reading his bible, being a food bank volunteer and going to Erie.
He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory; wife, Lana (Johns) Monsour of Adrian; daughter, Lorrie Monsour of Ford City, daughter, Kelly Monsour of Kittanning and her fiancé Jimmy Wagner of Jeanette; granddaughter’ Kylie Monsour of Cadogan and her fiancé Steven Contretas of Rural Valley; grandson’ Noah Monsour of Kittanning; great grandson, Jonathan Monsour of Cadogan; sister and brother in law, Mary (Jim) Deep of Florida; brother and sister in law’ William (Teresa) Wyant Jr. of Butler; sister in law’ Cheryl (Cousins) Monsour of Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Monsour, brother, Raymond “Buck” Monsour, aunt, Elizabeth Dubak and uncle, David Monsour.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, PA 16218 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm. Additional viewing will be held on Friday February 3, 2023 in the Brush Valley Brethren Church, 112 Church Drive, Adrian, PA 16210 from 10:00am until time of funeral services at 11:00am with Rev. Jimmy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Valley Brethren Church Cemetery.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the funeral home to help offset expenses.
