Sandra D. Scott
January 17, 1953 – February 6, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra D. Scott, age 72, on February 6, 2025. Sandra was born on January 17, 1953, to Harry C. and Freda Slagle. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Louis Scott; children Julie (Adam) Scott, Michael McClafferty and Sonia (Don) Fries; and her cherished grandchildren, Marissa and Kolton McClafferty, Brennon and Brooklyn Scott, Emily (Brady) Kirkwood and Tyler Fries; and one great-grandchild, Everly Kirkwood. She is also survived by her brothers, David Slagle and Harry R. (Cathy) Slagle; and many nieces and nephews. Other family members include Amy (Dave) Fox and their family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry C. and Freda Slagle; her brother, Larry (Poodge) Slagle; and late husband, Daryl Cogley.
She loved traveling, camping, and playing games with her loved ones. Her favorite pastime enjoyed cheering on the Steelers, and her grandchildren at their sports events. As a proud member of the Church of God, Sandra’s faith played a central role in her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Her incredible ability to make those around her feel loved and cared for will leave a lasting legacy.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Templeton Church of God, 1598 Ridge Rd., Templeton, PA with Pastor Robert Grimm officiating, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment will be in Cochran Cemetery, Templeton, Pa.
