Shirley Marie (Howard) Loose

Shirley Marie (Howard) Loose, 90, of Chicora died on Wednesday February 18, 2026 in Butler Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 28, 1935 in Butler, PA to the late Harvey Elwood Howard and Viola Mae (Snyder) Howard.

Shirley was a homemaker who lived her entire 90 years in the community. She also was a waitress in her early years.

Shirley enjoyed working with her husband in their garden. She also enjoyed family conversations and bird watching from her backyard swing.  Shirley loved a Sunday drive. She cherished the moments of raising her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, appreciating their innocense.

She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, sons; David B. Loose of Chicora and John L. Loose and wife Darlene of Mississippi. 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Elwood Loose.  son; Glenn Loose. Siblings Elwood Howard, Bernice Adams and Harriet McClaine.

Family and friends will be received on Monday February 23, 2026 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, PA 16218 from 11:00am until time of services at 1:00pm with Rev. Sue Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Brady's Bend Cemetery.
