Shirley Mae (Smith) Claypoole

Shirley Mae (Smith) Claypoole, 72, of Worthington, Pa. died on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023 at her home.  She was born February 26, 1951, the daughter of the late Roy and Emma (Roofner) Smith, and was a lifelong resident of the community.  Shirley was a homemaker who enjoyed baking and taking care of others. 

Left behind to cherish her memory includes by her husband, Ray Claypoole, of Worthington; daughter, Tammy (Scott) Crissman, of Worthington; son, Roy (Rebecca) Claypoole, of Kittanning; son, Leland (Margaret) Claypoole, of Worthington; grandchildren: Tyler (Jessica) Crissman, of Fenelton, Hannah Crissman, of Worthington, Derek Crissman, of Worthington, Korbin Claypoole, Isabella Claypoole, and Kiyah Claypoole, all of Kittanning, and Aiden Claypoole, Mackenzie Claypoole, and Lily Claypoole, all of Worthington; and brother, Don Smith.  In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, James Smith; and grandchildren, Cameron Crissman and Sylas Claypoole. 

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 at Worthington Presbyterian Church, 197 Linton St., Worthington, Pa. with funeral service to immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Hindman officiating.  Burial will follow in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington.
