Shirley (McJunkin) Steim, 86, of Kittanning, passed away Tuesday December 23, 2025, at Quality Life Services-Sugarcreek. She was born April 19, 1939 in Ford City to the late Paul and Melda Mae (Claypoole) McJunkin. Shirley worked as a clerk at Arner's Hardware and was member of the First Baptist Church in Kittanning. She enjoyed baking, bowling, church activities, but above all she she had a love for cleaning.
She is survived by her two sons Scott (Sue) Steim and Bryan (Coleen) Steim both of Kittanning; granddaughter Kristy (Matt) Waldroup of Rochester, PA; granddaughter Elizabeth Steim of Kittanning; great-grandson Liam Walddroup of Rochester, PA; granddaughter Justy Steim of Rimersburg; several nieces and nephews.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas "Hooker" Steim whom she married on November 27, 1958.
Friends will be received on Sunday December 28, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Monday December 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church in Kittanning with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating with additional visitation at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment is in the Kittanning Cemetery.
