Shirley Mae Yeany, 89, of Kittanning, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born November 5, 1935 in Rimersburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Lawrence and Geraldine (Redding) Faulkner, and was a lifelong resident of the community. She formerly worked at PPG on the spacer line, as well as a medical technologist and she was a secretary. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Shirley enjoyed spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. She taught Sunday school and she enjoyed playing her piano. She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, Paul I and Lynda Yeany; daughters, Vicki Blaniar and Paula Jones; son, Brody I and Deb Yeany; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Faulkner, Jr.; son, Paul Yeany II; and stillborn grandson, Isaac Yeany. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the House of Hope in Vandergrift with Pastor Scott Kiefer officiating.
