Sylvia G. (Boocks) Galbraith

Sylvia G. Galbraith, 87, of Kittanning, passed away Thursday April 13, 2023 at The Ridge at Heritage Meadows in Ford City. She was born January 27, 1936 in Knox to the late Oddis A. and Ruth V. (Stover) Boocks. 

Sylvia was a homemaker and of the Protestant Faith. She enjoyed gardening her flowers and bird watching. 

She married Samuel J. Galbraith on November 21, 1955. 

She is survived by her five children; William J. Galbraith and his wife Jody, Boyd L. Galbraith, Belinda S. Olinger and her husband John, Diana L. Miller and her husband Dennis, and David M. Galbraith and his wife Beth; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister Barb Craig of Knox and brother James Boocks and his wife Georgia of Knox. 

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Oddis and Ruth Boocks; husband Samuel J. Galbraith whom passed away August 10, 1993, and a grandson. 

Friends will be received on Monday April 17, 2023 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 4:00 pm with Rev. Zach Lays officiating. Interment is in the Starr Cemetery in Knox.
