Terry Lee "Dunny" Dunmire Obituary

Terry Lee "Dunny" Dunmire, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville.

Terry was born at home in Wick City on January 20, 1955, to the late Frederick Andrew and Anna Mae (Schrecengost) Dunmire.

Terry enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter, from his early teenage years for the Kittanning Hose Company Number 6, and later for Rayburn Township. He loved hunting with his dad and his brothers, hanging out with the Wick City gang and circling the Cadet in his white "68" Pontiac GTO. That's where Terry met the love of his life, Teri Lynn Wille in 1975. They married in July 1978. Together they managed Rayburn Manor Apartments from 1983 to 1988 until they were transferred to Fort Myers, Florida. He loved fishing with his family on the Sanibel Causeway where he once helped a young lady catch a Cobia that was bigger than some of the stories he told. He missed hunting in PA so in 1994 they moved to Huber Heights, OH where he would make the 5 hour drive each year to Kittanning and stay for the first week of deer season. in 2016 Terry retired and he and his family moved back to Kittanning.

Terry will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years, two children Michael (Marlene) Dunmire of Butler and Trisha (Brian) Fleming of Shelocta. Two grandchildren Delaney and Trenton Dunmire both of Butler, and his his littler dog Ruger.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by two brothers Frederick Andrew "Buck" and William Dunmire; on sister Peggy Brumbaugh.

Left to cherish his memory is one brother Dewayne (Pam) Dunmire of Kittanning; nephews Troy and Greg Dunmire; niece Sara Dunmire.

Friends will be received at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning on Thursday December 4, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday December 5, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Interment is in the Cochran Cemetery in Templeton.
