Thomas William Gray Jr. of Kittanning, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 15 to the late Thomas Gray Sr. & Daisy Waltenbaugh.
Bill was a retired diesel mechanic and a US Army Veteran serving in 11th Airborne Division Paratrooper.
He was an elder at the Union First Presbyterian Church in Cowansville and also a member of Masonic Lodge 805, Armstrong Amateur Radio Club and ABCI Beekeepers Club. Bill was the oldest firefighter at West Hills Emergency Services.
He enjoyed Amateur (Ham) Radios and beekeeping. Bill was always helping fix anything around the neighborhood.
He leaves behind his wife; Connie Lea (McGarvey) Gray of Kittanning, son; Jason William Gray and wife Amy Loughrey Gray of Ford City, son-in-law; Howard Freedlander of Kittanning, grandson; Aaron Freedlander of North Carolina, great grandson; Gabriel Freedlander of North Carolina, brother; Les Gray and sister-in-law Sue Gray both of Kittanning.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jayci Lynn (Gray) Freedlander and a brother, Paul Gray.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean Street, Kittanning, Pa 16201 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00pm. Additional viewing will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 1:00pm until time of funeral services at 2:00pm. Burial will be in Cowansville Cemetery.
Family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the Union First Presbyterian Church in Cowansville or the Mechling – Shakley Veterans Center.
