Tim E. Matthews

Tim E. Matthews, 64, of Kittanning, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, at home.

He was born April 22, 1953, in Kittanning, to the late Millard and Kathryn (Kerr) Matthews.

He worked at Kesco, Sentry Oil and Grease, Tri-Valley Waste, and Thrower Concrete.

Tim was a Christian.

Tim was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who was respected by all who knew him.

He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, sitting on the porch, picnics down back, and helping anyone who needed a hand.

Tim especially loved spending time with his family, he eagerly awaited Saturday breakfasts with his grandchildren and never missed a sporting event to cheer his grandsons on.

Tim will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Debra (Wolfe) Matthews ; son, Tim K. (Karen) Matthews of Kittanning; daughter, Amy (Tom) Yaskula of Kittanning; grandchildren, Brooke Matthews and fiancé Brandon Crawford of East Brady; Tim M. Matthews, Tyler Yaskula, and Andrew Yaskula, all of Kittanning; brothers, Fred Matthews of DuBois, Richard (Nancy) Matthews of Chino, Calif., William (Lena) Matthews of Florida, and Millard “Sonny” (Ellie) Matthews, also of Chino.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Terry and Ronald Matthews.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service with the Rev. Mark Brady officiating.
