Tracey Shaffer Obituary

Tracey Ann Shaffer, 56, of Adrian, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on June 14, 2025; surrounded by her loving family. She bravely battled dementia, a journey she faced with grace and strength. Born on April 1, 1969, Tracey lived her entire life in Adrian, a community she deeply cherished. As a devoted homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming haven for her family and countless others.

Tracey had an extraordinary gift for opening her heart and home to anyone in need, offering comfort, support, and a loving embrace to any child or person who sought her out. Known affectionately to many as Aunt Trace, and later as Gran to her beloved grandchildren, her boundless compassion and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Tracey’s life was guided by her profound faith and her unwavering devotion to God. This faith shone through in her everyday actions and in the way she cared for others. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in tending to her garden and the satisfaction of canning her harvests, sharing the bounty with those she loved.

Tracey was the beloved wife of Steve Shaffer, with whom she shared 35 years of devoted marriage, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. She was a cherished mother to her children: Nikki Scholl and her husband Jory; Steven Shaffer and his wife Madi; and Wyatt Shaffer and his wife Marissa. Tracey's legacy of love continues through her nine adoring grandchildren: Rihanna, Levi, Jaxon, Maylee Jo, Chaven, Blake, Raygen, Layken, and Kaysenn, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Tracey is also survived by her devoted mother, Anna McCullough, and her loving sisters, Catherine Shaffer (Heidi) and Amy Sites. Her memory will be cherished by a countless amount of people, including her brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and numerous friends, all of whom she loved dearly. She leaves behind a community enriched by her kindness and a family held together by her enduring love.

Tracey is now at peace, joining her beloved father, Earl Shaffer, her adoring step father William McCullough, her cherished in-laws, Dave and Nancy Shaffer, and her dear best friend, Staci, who preceded her in death.

Friends will be received on Monday June 16, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., and Tuesday June 17, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
