Victor Cousins, 87, of Templeton, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in New York surrounded by family on Thursday, November 25, 2021. He was born January 12, 1934 in Bridgeburg, Pa to the late John and Vera (Hill) Cousins. Vic was a lifelong member of the Kittanning Men’s Club, New Bethlehem Eagles and the Pine Twp. Fire Department.
Vic was the best story teller and always reminiscing about his many adventures with his friends and family. He truly cherished time spent with his grandkids and sharing his zest for life. He enjoyed all aspects of racing, both driving his own sprint car and being a spectator. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved being in Canada fishing and moose hunting. He had a special place in his heart for feeding the birds, watching the eagles fly by his house, and the dogs he had throughout his years.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Susan (Ken) Clawson; Victoria (Bill) Heestand; Beth (Jim) Knightly; Shelly Krecota; Tara (Bentley) O’Dell; Lori Cousins; Cris (Brian) Cicco; and Caiti (Mike) Mudd; and step-sons Mark (Ruthann) Brletrick and Russ Brletrick. Victor was dear brother to Vivan Bryan and Linda (Ed) Kubiak and a cherished grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Cousins and sister, Marlene Scutti; infant son, William Cousins; step-daughter, Darla Bryan; and sons-in-law, Walter Smith and Darrin Krecota.
Family and friends of Victor will be received on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean St., Kittanning, PA 16201 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Additional viewing will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life service at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Joel Kinnard officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Templeton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Orphans of the Storm on Rt. 85 in Kittanning.
