Violet Ann (Pettigrew) Flanders, 87, of Kittanning, passed away Friday February 6, 2026 at Kittanning Health and Rehabilitation. She was born March 19, 1938 in Armstrong County to the late Roy Pettigrew and Martha Rearick. Violet worked as a Certified Nurses Aide. 

She loved to play cards, bingo, Yahtzee among other activities at Kittanning Health and Rehab. She enjoyed doing puzzle books and coloring as well. Violet enjoyed family get-togethers, helping her friends and other residents at Kittanning Health and Rehab, when she could. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her favorite color was pink, especially bright pink. She loved her bling and you would often see her wearing funny earrings. 

Violet is survived by her sister, Thelma (Sal) Lloyd, of Freeport; son, Tom Baker, of Vandergrift; daughter, Sharon (Baker) Klase and her husband, John, of Templeton; son, Craig Wynkoop and his wife, Christine, of Kittanning; daughter, Cindy (Wynkoop) Mechling, of Kittanning; granddaughter, Sally Baker, of McGrann; granddaughter, Jamie (Baker) Amiott and her husband, Jason, of Florida; grandson, Russ Baker; grandson, Tyler Wynkoop of Kittanning; granddaughter, Nicole (Mechling) Frailey and her husband, Jesse, of Altoona; granddaughter, Tara Mechling of Kittanning; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, and brother and sisters.

Friends will be received on Tuesday February 10, 2026 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 P.M.
