Virginia B. (Slagle) Milliken

Virginia B. (Slagle) Milliken, 89, of Chicora, died peacefully on Monday August 7, 2023 in Butler Memorial Hospital.  She was born On August 12, 1933 in Templeton, PA to the late Jared & Grace (Keesey) Slagle.  Virginia previously worked for Moonlight Mushrooms, then she worked at the Kittanning Walmart.  She was a member of the Montgomeryville Baptist Church in Adrian.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She immensely enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed playing cards and other games. 

Virginia leaves behind to forever cherish her memory: daughter, Nannie (Jeffrey) Davis, of Chicora; grandsons, Adam (Renee) Davis and Aaron (Kaitlyn) Davis, both of Butler; granddaughters, Marsha (Harry) Frick, of Adrian and Melissa (Ben) Shultz; 2 great-granddaughters, Norah & Amelia Davis; 3 great-grandsons, Ryley Stahl and Waylon & Wesley Frick.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that were special to her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Milliken Sr.; son, Neal Milliken Jr.; daughter, Phyllis Hooks; an infant son, Scott; 8 brothers: Ossroe, Jerry, William, Harry, Jack, Robert, John and Earl Slagle; and 3 sisters, Evelyn Anderson, Anna Anderson and Nancy Sabo. 

Family and friends of Virginia Milliken will be received on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, PA 16218 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Additional viewing will be in the funeral home on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10am until time of funeral services at 11:00am with Pastor Clarence Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cowansville Cemetery.
