Vivian Jean (Hanold) Johns, 93, of Kittanning, died on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 at Grey's Colonial Acres.  She was born May 12, 1931 in Kittanning, daughter of the late Roy E. Hanold and Lulu G. (McCanna) Frye and step-father, Paul A. Frye.  She was a lifelong resident of the Kittanning area and was a homemaker.  She attended Union Baptist Church in Kittanning.  Vivian enjoyed sewing, bowling and crocheting.  She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her daughters, Bonnie (Ronald) McClanahan, of Littlestown, Pa. and Janine (Mike) Wetzell, of Kittanning; granddaughters: Lisa (Mark) Mercier, of Sykesville, Md., Jennifer (Keith) Ober, of Westminster, Md., Debra McClanahan, of New Market, Md., Tessa (Jim) Stuart, of Kittanning, Jada (Chad) Mechling, of Kittanning, Jailene (Joseph) Norris, of Leechburg; grandsons, Jansen (Rachel) Wrighter, of Kittanning and Landon Schrecengost, of Washington, D.C.; daughter-in-law, Karen (Ken) Martin, of Naples, Fl.; son-in-law, William Rush, of Kittanning; and 10 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick L. Johns; daughter, D. Patricia Rush; sons, C. Martin Johns and Leslie S. Johns; and granddaughter, Carrie R. Schrecengost.  Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning with funeral service to immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Hill officiating.  Private interment will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
