Vivian (Cunningham) Tatters

Vivian (Cunningham) Tatters, 93, of East Brady, died on Saturday May 13, 2023 in Quality Life Services-Sugarcreek. 

She was born on December 23, 1929 in Lawrenceville, PA to the late Francis C. Cunningham & Anne Jamison 

Vivian was a registered nurse who worked at Chicora Medical Center and then retired from Sunnyview Rest Home. 

Vivian was a past deacon and served the Golden Links at Union First Presbyterian Church in Cowansville. She was involved with the American Legion Post 325 auxiliary in Cowansville, where she served as president for several years. 

She delivered Meals On Wheels and was an advocate for persons with disabilities. She received the Advocate of the Year Award in 2009. 

She was a wonderful mother & grandmother, blessing her family with homemade gifts & crafts that we will always treasure. She was always surrounded by friends, laughter, and good food. In her spare time she read books, many many books. 

Left behind to forever cherish her memory are her children: Lynne Anne Baer of Franklin, PA, Raymond Roy (Sandy) Tatters of Fletcher, NC, Joan Lee (Craig) Carver of Tampa, FL, Mark Edward Tatters of Baxley, GA, Tia Marie Tatters of Kittanning, PA and William John Tatters of East Brady, PA, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Tatters and a brother Francis Cunningham Jr. 

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday May 16, 2023 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, PA 16218 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Additional viewing will be held in the Union First Presbyterian Church, 824 East Brady Road, Cowansville, PA 16218 from 10:00am until time of services at 11:00am with Pastor Lisa Lyon officiating. Interment will follow in Cowansville Cemetery.
