Wanda L. Yount

Wanda Louise (Lasher) Yount, 79, of West Kittanning, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born September 20, 1942 in Adrian, Pa, Wanda was the daughter of the late Roy and Ethel (Skinner) Lasher. She formerly worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian, where she was an active member of the church community, singing in the choir and serving on the church council. She was an avid reader, she loved to stay in touch with family and friends, and Wanda loved spending time with her grand-dog, Iggie. . 

Left behind to cherish her memory includes her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jennifer Petrovsky, of West Kittanning; step-son, Steve Petrovsky, of South Carolina; step-daughters, Debbie Snyder-Webb, of South Carolina, Rev. Kathy Yount Nice, of Shay, Pa, and Jackie Marsh, of Florida; sister, Darlene (Lasher) Sawitt, of Upper Darby, Pa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay A. Yount; brothers, Robert R. Lasher and Chester E. Lasher; and sisters, Rosanna Lasher, Dorothy (Lasher) Elkin, and Doris (Lasher) Otto. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to the amazing staff, especially Mary Beth, at Allegheny General Hospital. Wanda was one tough cookie. 

Friends will be received on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning with Rev. Matthew Vatalare officiating.  Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.  For guests attending, wearing masks or facial coverings are greatly appreciated as a courtesy to high risk visitors.
