William Clark Evans Jr., 69, of East Franklin Township, Kittanning, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at his home. He was born October 13, 1952 in Kittanning, a son of the late William Clark Sr. and Yvette Evans, and was a lifelong resident of East Franklin Township. William was an East Franklin Township police officer. He had 47 years of police service, working throughout the years in the Apollo Police Department, Worthington PD, Armstrong County Jail, Cowanshannock PD, and was President of the Armstrong Police Association. He belonged to the Faith Presbyterian Church in East Franklin Twp. He also belonged to the F.O.P., Elks, West Hills Fire Department, Ford City Sportsmen Club, Western PA Firman’s Association, HI Hatters, Low Hatters, Western PA Fireman’s Association Old Timers, Masonic Lodge, and was a Allegheny Valley Lodge 39 F.O.P. trustee. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working on tractors, spending quality time with his family, and helping his community.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Christopher Evans, and wife, Christina, of East Franklin Twp.; daughter, Lisa Law, and husband, Shawn, of Indiana County; grandsons, Patrick Evans, and fiancé, Maddison, of Manor Twp., Sean Evans, of Indiana County, Austin Evans, of East Franklin Twp., Heath Bettelyoun, of Kittanning, Jacob Collingwood and Pierson Evans, both of East Franklin Twp.; and granddaughter, Jordan Collingwood, of East Franklin Twp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Evans; and infant sister, Doris.
Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. The Allegheny Valley Lodge 39 F.O.P. will conduct a service at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held on Friday in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Following the service, guests are invited to a luncheon at the Manor Township Firehall.
