William Charles Kilgore Sr., 84, of Kittanning went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2024 . He was born January 3, 1940 to Virgil Kilgore and Myrtle Claypoole. He married Evelyn Fennell on July 9, 1961. William belonged to the Center Hill Church of the Brethren, he worked for at Eljer in Ford City and later on worked for Air Ride. William was a United States Marine and loved coaching baseball and football, he loved playing music and throwing horseshoes, fishing, and hunting. His family and friends always came first.
Left behind to cherish his memory include son, Richard E. Kilgore; twin son and daughter, Brent L. (Mary) Kilgore and Brenda L. Heilman; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice Smith, Marie Crawford; brothers, Walter and Harley Kilgore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Kilgore; son, William Kilgore Jr.; great-grandson, Raiden Reesman; two sisters, Linda Cole and Cordiela Yapp; four brothers, Don Kilgore, Dan Kilgore, George Kilgore, and Eugene Kilgore.
Friends will be received on Thursday January 2, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 3, 2025 in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. with additional visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment is in the Center Hill Brethren Church Cemetery.
