William Louis Pardini, Jr. died at the age of 93 on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at his residence. He married Lucretia Jane Pence on June 5, 1954 at St. Bernard's Church, Mt. Lebanon, PA. He graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1949, received his Bachelor of Science Degree and Army Officer's Commission from the University of Pittsburgh in 1953 and his Registered Professional Engineer License in Control System Engineering from the state of California in 1977. He proudly served our country during the Korean and Cold War. His first assignment was at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas followed by Fort Totten, New York. While at Fort Totten, he advanced to Artillery Battery Commander. After being honorable discharged, he and his wife returned to Mt. Lebanon, Pa.
William was selected for the Jones & Laughlin Steel Company's highly regarded five year management training program. He progressed through various industrial instrumentation sales and management positions. He was the Pittsburgh Area Sales Manager for Fischer and Porter Company followed by Marketing Manager for Robertshaw Controls Company, Richmond, Virginia, and then Regional Manager. He was responsible for the Eastern half of the United States sales offices and personnel. Robertshaw was a subsidiary of Reynolds Aluminum Company. Bill was a past secretary of the Pittsburgh Section Instrument Society of America, past member of Bethel-St. Clair and Kittanning Rotary Clubs and a Lifetime Member of the Korean War Veterans.
After retiring in 1994, he and his wife moved to the Cowan/Pence homestead. Bill was very proud to be able to renovate and upgrade the original red brick Federalist style home that was built by John Cowan circa 1832. Bill appreciated the honor of owning this historic part of American History. The land grant dated 1792 was received as payment for Lt. Cowan's service in the Revolutionary War.
Among his many joys in life were raising his daughter, Susan Marie and son, William Louis, III. The family spent many vacations traveling to Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons, Florida, Upper Michigan as well as many weekends boating and water skiing at Kinzua Dam and the Allegheny River. Bill especially enjoyed caring for and offering support to his wife, children and grandchildren: Adam William, Luke Charles, Roman Robert and Levi Scott Pardini, Rachel Marie Conti and great-grandsons, Cayden Louis Conti and Xavier Kelly. When he was younger he liked to hunt and shoot clay pigeons with his son and grandsons. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Descalzi Pardini and William Louis Pardini, Sr.; sisters, Jeanne Louise Hessler and Suzanne Marie Fornadel; son-in-law, Ernest Louis Conti; grandson, Luke Charles Pardini; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Zagorac Pardini.
Survivors include his wife, Lucretia J. (Pence) Pardini, of Cowansville; daughter, Susan M. Conti, of Moon Twp., Pa.; son, William L. Pardini III and his wife, Kristin (Scott) Pardini, of Upper St. Clair, Pa.; grandsons, Adam W. (Becca) Pardini, of Mt. Lebanon, Pa., Roman R. Pardini, of Upper St. Clair and Levi S. Pardini, of Upper St. Clair; granddaughter, Rachel M. Conti, of Moon Twp., Pa.; great-grandsons, Cayden L. Conti, of Moon Twp., Pa. and Xavier Kelly, of Moon Twp., Pa.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 101 West High St., Kittanning, Pa. with The Reverend Juanito G. Lozano as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pa. Arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville, Pa.
