William Rayburn Bowser, 83, of Cowansville, Pa. went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Butler Hospital ICU surrounded by his family. He was born April 24, 1941 in Cowansville to the late Glenn and Lois (Elder) Bowser. He was a heavy equipment operator (dragline operator). He attended Criswell Bible Baptist Church. William enjoyed going to his camp in Benezette, hunting with his sons and grandsons and fishing. He loved being surrounded by his family, having get-togethers and when you would stop in to see Bill, you expected to stay awhile because he loved to talk. Most of all, he loved his dog, Jingles, who went everywhere with him.
Left behind to forever cherish his memory includes his children: Kenneth (Theresa) Bowser, Lynn (Ashland) Stull, Fred (Lisa) Bowser, Becky (Robert) Yough and Shirley (Linda) Bowser; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bowser; step-children, Karen (Steve) Lash, Debbie Beham, Frank (Kim) Beham, Laurie Beham, Jeff (Michelle) Beham and Roy (Jackie) Beham; grandchildren: Ashley Stull, Jeanette Croyle, Jason Stull, Andreal Gray, Amanda Cavoto, Kayla Charmichael, Jr Lee Yough, Catlin Bowser, Ciara Kraucak, Chelsea Foust and Shannon McDermott, Curtis Bowser; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Jane) Bowser; and sisters, Peg and Jackie Bowser.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bowser; son, William “Bill” Bowser, Jr.; brothers, Joe, Mike, George and Glenn; sisters, Ginger and Babe; and 3 great-grandchildren, Owen, Drew and Nora.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 11am to 1pm and from 4pm until time of funeral service at 6 pm at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 E. Brady Rd., Cowansville, Pa. with Pastor Paul DeBacco officiating. Interment will be in Sherrett Cemetery.
