William R. Shearer Jr.

William R. Shearer Jr., 78, of Kittanning, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born February 11, 1943 in Kittanning to the late Robert and Edna Shearer. He was a lifetime resident of the area. William was a retired “Millwright Local” and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

He is survived by his wife Patricia Shearer of Kittanning; son Bob (Melanie) Shearer of Ohio; son Steve Shearer of Kittanning; sister Peggy Craig of Kittanning; ex son in law Jim Cooper of Kittanning; daughter Brenda (Leroy) Beckett of Kittanning; daughter Deborah Cooper of Kittanning; one nephew and one niece; 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers in law- Butch Craig and Kenny Prugh Jr. 

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday October 6, 2021 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean St., Kittanning, Pa 16201 from 9:00am until time of funeral services at 11:00am with Rev. Jonathan Hill of the Union Baptist Church officiating. 

Burial with military honors will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
