William Alexander Wagner, 71, of Kittanning, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at ACMH Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born March 24, 1954 in Akron, Ohio the son of William Alexander Wagner and Elizabeth M. Ringled. He worked as an Explosive Technician "Blaster and he attended The Prayer Chapel. He was an avid outdoorsman; a hunter, trapper and fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, 'Bella' and 'Scooter'. Bill was always there for anyone who needed anything. He was a hard-working man his whole life. He loved animals of all kinds. Bill also served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Renie Wagner, of Kittanning; mother, Elizabeth Gattuso Wagner, of Punxsutawney, Pa.; his children, William (Kendra) Wagner, of Hamilton, PA, David Wagner, of Natrona Heights, PA, Matthew Wagner, of Summerville, PA and Allie (Shawn) Higgins, of Big Run, PA; step-son, Mark (Tracey) Kovach, of Natrona Heights, Pa.; favorite niece, Kelly (Michael) Maine, of New Castle, Pa.; other favorite nieces, Amy (Andre) Boone, of Munhall, Pa. and Nikki (Jason) Gibson, of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Timothy (Denise) Wagner, of North Carolina; sister, Christine (James) Werner, of Dubois, Pa.; nephew, Shane Stouffer, of Kittanning; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Alexander Wagner; and step-daughter, Wendy Kovach.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, PA from 1-3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m., with Rev. Mike Maine and Rev. Kelly Maine officiating. Interment will be in McClure Cemetery, Big Run, Pa.
