William "Pete" Wermter, 66, of Rural Valley, Pa. went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife, Regis and his daughter, Carrie, and grandson, Gavin. Pete was born on December 20, 1957 in Jamestown, New York, the son of William, Sr. and Frances Wermter. In 1979 he met the love of his life, Regis (Moore) Wermter, and they married in 1980. Pete always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He worked as a truck driver most of his life. He also loved traveling with the Amish. Pete will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Regis; daughter, Carrie Wermter, of Kittanning; son, Carl (Amanda) Wermter, of Gloucester, Va.; grandchildren, Kyler Wermter, Alyvia Wermter, Caden Wagnon, Addisyn Wagnon, Gavin Wagnon, Carson Ridings and Hannah Ridings; sisters, Sanda Weaver, of Oil City, Pa. Susan Albinio, of Oil City, Pa. and Linda (Kenneth) Shaffer, of Meadville, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol (Ronald) Wentzel; and grandson, Brycen Wermter.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. Interment is private.
