James M. Davis, 79, of Kittanning, died on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, in ACMH Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1938, in Kittanning, to the late Quniter and Maud (Gillespie) Davis.
Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant Fifth Class.
He worked for the DEP for 25 years and was also a Deputy Game Warden for 12 years.
Jim attended the Christ Rupp Lutheran Church and was a member of the Masons F&AM #805 in Rayburn.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 58 years, Dolores (Stewart) Davis; son, Matthew Davis and wife, Melissa, of Kittanning; daughter, Tammy Davis of New Orleans; grandson, Joshua Davis and girlfriend, Krista, of Kittanning; step grandson, Michael of California; sister, Marie Mohney of Kittanning; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends of Mr. Davis will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, in the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional viewing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, from 10 a.m. in the funeral home until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. with Vicar Matthew Vatalare officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Rupp Lutheran Church Cemetery.
