fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions. Especially enjoyed travelling with his “special”
group of friends.
Member of the Salvation Army Board of Directors.
Member of the Masonic Temple Lodge #805 F&AM in Kittanning and the Syria Shrine in Cheswick.
Former Board Member of: Moraine Trails Council, Armstrong County Trust
Company, Alle-Kiski Revitalization Corporation, Armstrong County Food and
Shelter Board, Penn State-New Kensington Advisory Board, Middle Armstrong
County United Way, Armstrong County Recreation Authority, Armstrong County

Committee, Greater Kittanning Jaycees, and Y-Men’s Club. Active in several
Lutheran Churches as council member, Sunday school teacher, lay reader, parish
treasurer and district delegate.
Honored as the Distinguished Friend of Scouting Award from the Moraine Trails
council of the Boy Scouts of America in 1996. Elected to the Armstrong County
Hockey Hall of Fame. Received the Distinguished Service Award from the
Armstrong County Chamber of Commerce in 1987.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning with a Masonic Service at 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Church, 218 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service with the Rev. James Neal officiating. Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paul & Vera Boarts Family Fund of the Pittsburgh Foundation, 5 PPG Place No. 250, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
